LUMS Student Policy Research Initiative (LSPRI)
LUMS Student Policy Research Initiative (LSPRI) is Pakistan’s first-ever student-run think tank, dedicated to fostering student engagement in research, policy analysis, and advocacy. What began as an institute under the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) has evolved into a student-led platform that empowers young voices to take part in shaping Pakistan’s policy landscape. At LSPRI, students don’t just study policy but they contribute to it.

Our Mission
To create a space where students lead research, initiate dialogue, and propose actionable solutions to Pakistan’s most pressing policy challenges. We aim to bridge the gap between academia, policymakers, and youth, making policy research accessible, engaging, and impactful.
what we do
LSPRI works through multiple avenues to engage students in the world of policy:
Talks & Dialogues: Conversations with policymakers, diplomats, and thought leaders on national and global issues.
Workshops Capacity-building sessions in collaboration with leading think tanks and research institutions.
Podcasts : Platforming voices that drive discourse on governance, inclusion, and reform.
Research & Policy Papers : Student-led research on themes such as student unions, parliamentary committees, SDGs, child rights, and women’s representation.
Initiatives & Collaborations : From climate awareness to social campaigns, we connect policy to people.
